Anchored in more than 25 years of experience in High-Performance Sport and the Corporate sector, GAPP is dedicated to simultaneously enhancing performance and well-being.

Its focus is clear: supporting individuals and teams operating in high-demand environments – athletes, coaches, executives, CEOs, physicians, entrepreneurs, military personnel, artists, and other performers.

Optimizing energy, regulating sleep, enhancing focus and concentration, and harnessing motivation around clear goals are central pillars of this work. These processes become more effective when supported by the development of meaningful life projects and the definition of significant goals aligned with the identity of each individual and organization.

Throughout this journey, socio-emotional skills training (commonly referred to as soft skills), combined with the development of frustration tolerance and resilience, represents a fundamental resource. More than short-term tools, these are continuous improvement strategies, designed to respect the unique subjectivities of each individual and system while promoting sustainable performance over time.

With this purpose, GAPP structures its work across different areas, including:

Education | Trining

  • Clarification of specialization levels and professional practice models in Sport and Performance Psychology;
  • Development of recruitment and selection frameworks for professionals in the field, providing guidance and support to organizations seeking to integrate these specialists;
  • Promotion of the benefits of Psychological Skills Training interventions across different professional and performance settings;
  • Clarification on the appropriate use of psychological and/or behavioral assessment tools by psychologists and non-psychologists;
  • Raising awareness among key stakeholders of the growing need for specialized assessment and intervention in mental health, including issues such as depression, burnout, and eating disorders, in environments where performance demands and pressure to achieve results are part of everyday life.

Intervention | ACTION

For NON-Psychologists

  • Development of potential Human Performance Optimization models, considering the individual, the organization, and the interactions between them;
  • Design, coordination, and implementation of projects across different performance sectors, grounded in the latest international recommendations (needs and opportunities assessment, intervention, and the production of outcomes such as executive reports, technical documents, scientific papers, among others);

  • Development of tools for monitoring and evaluating intervention projects;

  • Promotion of psycho-emotional skills development in sport (among athletes, coaches, referees, sports executives, parents, families, and other sports stakeholders), as well as in performing arts (musicians, choreographers, actors, among others) and among executives and professionals working in high-risk careers (doctors, paramedics, military personnel, firefighters, police officers, etc.).

For Psychologists

    • Development of Professional Practice Supervision Groups;

    • Development and promotion of mental health assessment tools for the sporting context.

Research

  • An applied action research approach, ensuring that GAPP’s interventions are grounded in the latest international scientific knowledge and advances.
