Degree in Psychology from Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada (ISPA), specialising in Social and Organisational Psychology, with a postgraduate qualification in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the same institution. Certified in Mental Health in Elite Sports by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and in Psychological Development and Olympic Preparation by the Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP). Also certified in Psychology for High Performance Sports by the Universitas FC Barcelona Innovation Hub.
Additional training in EMDR (Level 2), currently completing a specialisation in Cognitive, Behavioural and Integrative Psychotherapy through APTCCI. Registered member of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (professional registration no. 23910), with a Specialisation in Sport Psychology awarded by the same association.
Works as a Sport Psychologist at the Portuguese Tennis Federation, as part of the technical team at the National Tennis High-Performance Centre.
Professional practice focuses on Performance Psychology across sports, corporate and personal contexts, with particular emphasis on psychological and emotional skills development to enhance performance within the broader field of Human Performance Optimisation. Also works to promote quality of life and physical and psychological well-being, supporting individuals across the different contexts of their lives.
Throughout the professional career, has worked as a Sport Psychologist in sports clubs, as a trainer in polytechnic institutions and professional training schools, as a Human Resources Coordinator in corporate environments, and as a Physical Activity Psychologist in health clubs.
Co-author, with Ana Bispo Ramires, of several scientific and technical publications in the field of Performance Psychology, including: Career Transition from Junior to Senior: The Coach–Athlete–Parent Triangle, COP (2019); Gender Differences: A Barrier or a Challenge to Overcome? – Sport, Gender and Sexuality, COP (2018); Psychology and Performance: Relevance and Application – Sports Training Yearbook, COP (2018); and IZOF – Individual Zones of Optimal Functioning – Excellence and Superior Performance (2008).
Currently a member of the multidisciplinary GAPP (Group for Action in Psychology and Performance) intervention team, under the coordination of Ana Bispo Ramires.
