EMDR Therapy
Clinical Psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology – Specialisation in Systemic Clinical Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon (FPUL). Also an EMDR Therapist, certified and recognised by the EMDR Portugal and EMDR Europe associations.
Advanced training in EMDR Therapy across several areas, including Psychotic Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Polyvagal Theory, Complex Trauma and Dissociation, and Attachment and Self Reconstruction.
Additional training in Psychological Intervention in Disaster Situations and Cognitive-Narrative Intervention in Grief and Trauma, as well as an advanced postgraduate specialisation in Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapies.
Professional experience in the field of addictions, particularly in the treatment of substance and behavioural dependencies, depressive disorders and trauma-related conditions. Experience includes cognitive restructuring, psychoeducation, social skills training, motivation for change and relapse prevention within this context.
Professional practice also includes psychological skills development across different age groups, with a focus on promoting self-awareness, self-regulation, and the development of psychological and emotional skills. This work supports the definition and achievement of goals in performance contexts. Intervention also focuses on promoting quality of life and physical and psychological well-being, supporting individuals in the reprocessing and reframing of experiences towards a more balanced, healthy life aligned with their potential.
Currently works in private clinical practice and collaborates as a practice assistant in the delivery of EMDR Therapy training programmes.
Member of the multidisciplinary GAPP (Group for Action in Psychology and Performance) intervention team, under the coordination of Ana Bispo Ramires.
Registered member of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (professional registration no. 24408).
Member of EMDR Portugal (member no. 296).
